Hilda & Nick

Quiet LUXURY at a Destination Wedding
Morning Glory Farm - North Carolina, USA
There is a certain kind of wedding that does not announce itself. It does not need to. Every detail is considered, every decision is intentional, and the overall effect is something that feels effortlessly refined rather than loudly impressive. Hilda and Nick's wedding at Morning Glory Farm in North Carolina was that kind of wedding from start to finish.
Quiet luxury is a phrase that gets used a lot these days, but rarely does a wedding embody it this completely. This was not about showing off. This was about creating something genuinely beautiful for two people who knew exactly what they wanted and had the taste to pull it off.
We flew in from Vancouver for this one, and we would do it again in a heartbeat.
Hilda and Nick come from Vietnamese heritage and they are proud of it. But for their wedding day, they had a clear vision: a classic, elegant, Western themed celebration that felt timeless rather than trendy. The kind of wedding you could look back at in thirty years and not be able to place it in a specific era. Just beautiful. Just them.

Every member of our family and our wedding party kept saying how wonderful Jo and Glo were and how FRIENDLY, INTENTIONAL, and TALENTED they were
"... they hype you up so good!!! We seriously could not have asked for better people to capture our day.…"

A Destination Worth Crossing For
A Venue MADE for Weddings
For our Vancouver couples unfamiliar with Morning Glory Farm, here’s the feeling:
Wide-open land, soft skies, and a quiet kind of beauty that doesn’t compete with your wedding—it holds it. There’s an organic elegance to the farm, a sense of place that adds depth, light, and space to every frame. Shooting here as destination wedding photographers reminded us why we love what we do. From early morning to the last dance, the landscape kept changing—and so did the light—giving us something new to work with at every turn.

Small Choices, Big Feeling
The DETAILS That Made The Difference
The florals were soft and organic, designed to sit comfortably within the farm landscape rather than compete with it. The tablescape invited you to linger—each detail intentional, but never heavy-handed. As evening fell, the stationery, linen, and lighting all spoke the same calm, cohesive language.
Hilda’s dress deserves its own note. Classic, impeccably fitted, and perfectly aligned with the tone of the day—nothing loud, just quietly right.
Nick wore his suit the same way: effortlessly. The kind of groom who looks completely at ease in formalwear, which, from behind the camera, is rarer than it sounds.

Why All Day Coverage Matters
Creating Memories, So UNIQUELY Yours
Hilda and Nick chose full-day coverage, and for a wedding like this, it made all the difference.
Morning at Morning Glory Farm has a light you can’t recreate later. The quiet getting ready moments, Hilda in soft morning light before anyone else saw her—these are the images that often stay with couples the most.
Staying through the evening meant we also witnessed the shift into celebration: speeches, first dances, and the point where the day loosens and everyone simply feels it. That’s where the story becomes complete.

On Photographing Destination Weddings
Jo & Glo are based in Vancouver, BC, but our work takes us across the world—North Carolina, Europe, Asia, and throughout Canada and the U.S.
Our approach stays the same everywhere: arrive early, learn the light, and spend the entire day fully present and in service of the couple in front of us.
If you’re planning a destination wedding and looking for photographers who will travel, take the time to understand your venue, and deliver a gallery that captures not just how it looked but how it felt, we’d love to hear from you.
