There’s something about a wedding where two cultures meet that we never get tired of, and this is T & J’s. Two families, two sets of traditions, all gathered under one sky at Otter Trail Winery, slowly becoming one big family over the course of a single day. We got to watch that happen in real time, and it was beautiful.

Then the sun went down and the dance floor came alive. When the saxophonist stepped out and wove his way through the crowd, something shifted, and the whole room just moved together. Wedding party, cousins, old friends, all of them lost in the same song. Those are the moments we live for.

And to the vendor team who made it all feel so effortless, thank you! 🥂

Alex & Drake, where do we even start? We first met Alex four years ago at a friend’s wedding reception, where our mutual friend purposely put us at the same table sitting right across from each other as she knew our energy was aligned. And she was right! Alex told us that night that when she got married one day, she was definitely reaching out to us. Fast forward three years and she did, before she was even engaged, just to lock in an engagement session with us!

Then she told us they would have a destination wedding in Agrinio, her mom’s hometown on the west side of Greece, and we pretty much said yes please take us there before she finished the sentence. Greece has been at the top of our bucket list for as long as we can remember, so getting to check it off while celebrating these two felt a little unreal.

And the people! Almost 100 guests flew all the way from Vancouver and beyond, then took a four hour bus ride from Athens to get there. When that many people make that kind of trip for you, it says everything about who you are. We got to spend three really wholesome and joy filled days with Alex, Drake and their people, and by the end we were calling a lot of them friends too.

Alex & Drake, thank you for remembering us from that reception table and for bringing us all the way to Greece. We’re so grateful for you both and the friendship we’ve created through this wedding journey! 🥂

Carol & Calven, where do we even start? Still so grateful we got to celebrate these two 🤍

We got to know C & C properly over a long dinner they invited us after their engagement shoot, one of those conversations that goes into all things life, and somewhere in there it stopped feeling like a client dinner. They became friends pretty fast, which is honestly the best part of this job. So by the time the wedding came around we weren’t showing up as photographers, we were showing up for two people that are already really special to our hearts, and the day went by with a blink of eye!

And the design? Elegant and tasteful all the way through, nothing overdone. @joyfulevents.ca thank you for bringing their vision to life and beyond!

And can we talk about this vendor team? Basically a replay of last year’s dream team and somehow just as fun the second time around.

Thank you for having us, C & C. Very honored we got to be there for this one. 🥂

S & T threw the wedding party of our dreams! And @little_stories_everywhere executed on every level. We couldn’t believe when they told us they were going to pull off this wedding in 2 months, we were unsure if it would be even possible but here we are! They seriously showed us that anything is possible, and the details of this wedding literally blew us away.

There’s nothing quite like an entire wedding on the dance floor, and we mean the entire wedding!! This was honestly one of the first weddings we’ve been to where every single person genuinely lost track of time. They started dancing during cocktail hour and just never stopped. Dinner ran late and not a single person gave a damn because the Tulum Jungle Techno was bumping and nobody was ready to leave that floor. Based on our experience so far, we can confidently say, the Persians sure know how to party!

But aside from all of this, we got to witness one of the purest and most genuine love from S & T, one of a kind where you instantly felt it simply by being in their love and presence, not only between the two of them, but also how they show up to everyone around them.

Cheers to this beautiful couple, inside and out! 🥂
