A Heartfelt Polygon Gallery Wedding in North Vancouver
Multiple Locations - Vancouver, BC
Some weddings are beautiful. Some are emotional. And then there are the ones that stop you in your tracks, where the love in the room is so thick it fills your lungs and you find yourself blinking fast behind the camera just to keep your composure. S and D's wedding day was exactly that kind.
From getting ready inside the stunning Douglas Hotel in downtown Vancouver, to a tender first look at the D6 Lounge, to an unforgettable reception at the Polygon Gallery in North Vancouver, this day had everything. Drama. Elegance. Wagyu beef. And enough happy tears to fill the Burrard Inlet.
Getting Ready at The Douglas Hotel, Vancouver
The morning started at The Douglas, and if you've never experienced the interiors of this hotel as a backdrop for wedding photography, you are missing out. The architectural lines, the curated lighting, the sense of calm before the beautiful chaos of a wedding day. S looked radiant. D looked nervous in the best possible way.

To say these two pour their HEART and SOUL into their work is an UNDERSTATEMENT!! They truly are talented in what they do
"... Their calm, loving and caring energy is just what a couple needs on their special day. Your search ends now if you’re still looking…"

A First Look at D6 Lounge
The MOMENT They Saw Only Each Other
Before the ceremony, S and D chose to share a first look and they chose the D6 Lounge as their setting. If you are a Vancouver couple considering a first look location that feels polished, intimate, and genuinely photogenic without being overdone, D6 is an incredible choice.

The Chinese Tea Ceremony
Honouring Family Through TRADITION
This is the part of the day that undid us all, in the most beautiful way.
The Chinese tea ceremony is one of the most emotionally loaded traditions in a wedding day. It is a ritual of gratitude, of reverence, of love that stretches beyond just two people and outward into family, lineage, history. S and D honoured it with full hearts.

Where Light, Water, and Flavour COLLIDED
The Polygon Gallery in North Vancouver is one of the most architecturally striking wedding venues in the Lower Mainland. Clean lines, dramatic light, waterfront views of the Burrard Inlet and the downtown Vancouver skyline. It photographs like a dream and feels even better in person.
The food alone deserves its own post. Chef William Lew (@chefwilliamlew) curated a spread that left guests speechless: A5 wagyu beef, fresh seafood, and sashimi platters that looked like edible art. This was not a buffet. This was a love language.
Why We Love Photographing Weddings at the Polygon Gallery
For any Vancouver couples searching for a Polygon Gallery wedding photographer, we want you to know this venue rewards photographers who understand light. The interior transforms throughout the day. The windows flood the space with soft, directional natural light during golden hour that is nearly unmatched in any venue we have shot in the Lower Mainland.
It is a venue for couples who care about design. Who care about experience. Who care about their guests. Which is exactly the kind of couple we love working with.
